South Wales Valleys and Coast

 

The Valleys, a name that conjures up images of coal mines, spoil heaps, steel works and narrow delineated villages and towns, constrained by steep sided hills that envelope them. True 20 - 30 years ago but much has changed since most of the mines have closed down and other cleaner industries have sprung up in their place. Much of the landscape has been reclaimed by Mother Nature and Man, a green oasis of mountain and forest. For those who have not been to the valleys or were here a very long time ago its time to put those past memories and preconceptions aside and to take a new look............
